131 Runs Partnership Between De Kock and Markarm Against Bangladesh ICC World Cup 2023

A brilliant partnership between De Kock and Markarm when the team needed it. In the context of the match, it can be a match-winning partnership because South Africa was down and out when these two came to the crease. South Africa was 37 for 2 and another wicket at that time would be a disaster and could be a collapse. But these two made everything easy and simple.

They added 131 runs off 137 balls. De Kock contributed 68 runs facing 86 balls while the skipper added 60 runs for 69 deliveries. Markarm got out playing an expensive shot to Skahib Al Hasan.

Early on South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first. The start was not good but South Africa recovered quickly after losing too many wickets. South Africa chose to bat first because they became a more dangerous side when it came to setting a target. They have won 8 out of 9 matches matches batting first.

They are on track to score over 300 once again in this World Cup which is phenomenal. And it will be difficult for Bangladesh to chase down the target if they manage to score around 350 on this pitch. Chasing at Wankhede Stadium might be tricky at times.
