3 India's Injured ODI World Cup Players may not Compete in 2023

3 India’s injured ODI World Cup players may not compete in 2023 include Iyer Shreyas, Jasprit bumrah and KL Rahul. The Indian cricket team is now hampered by injuries. KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant are all battling injuries.

The likelihood of Rahul, Iyer, Bumrah, and Pant being available for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is still unsure, despite the good news that they are on the road to recovery. The players mentioned in this article who might miss the major competition owing to injuries are from India.

Iyer Shreyas

Due to back issues, Shreyas Iyer was forced to withdraw from the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2022. The concerned BCCI sent him to the hospital because he had previously displayed the same symptoms.

Iyer missed the 2023 IPL and is even predicted to miss the 2023 Asia Cup. Despite having a successful back operation, he still has very little chance of being fit. He might wind up sitting out the entire 2023 ICC ODI World Cup.

Jasprit Bumrah

For around two years, Jasprit Bumrah has been struggling with a back problem. His injury resembles Shane Bond’s quite a little. Unfortunately, Bond was never able to fully recover from the back injury, and Bumrah’s ongoing issues are preventing him from having an easy road in the world of cricket. Bumrah might be unable to participate in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 if his back problems worsen.

It is hoped that Bumrah would be fully healthy by the start of the 50-Over World Cup in October, captain Rohit Sharma stressed that the bowler should regain full fitness before playing and thought that the squad has become used to playing without him.

KL may miss the 2023 world cup

KL Rahul

KL During the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, Rahul had a leg injury while fielding. He is currently recovering and should rejoin the Indian team for the Asia Cup. Rahul might not make the Indian World Cup roster, though, if Samson and Kishan perform well in the series prior to the Asia Cup.
