AC Milan is finalizing negotiations with Chelsea for the acquisition of forward Christopher Nkunku. The total value of the deal, including bonuses, is expected to exceed €40 million.
Milan`s Significant Investment for Nkunku
According to Footmercato, Milan initially offered between €30 million and €40 million for the former RB Leipzig player. However, sources indicate that the fixed portion of the transfer fee will be €37-38 million. An additional €4-5 million in bonuses will be added to this sum, contingent on Nkunku`s personal performance and team objectives, such as Champions League qualification.

Should the transfer go through, Nkunku will become the most expensive acquisition of the current Serie A summer transfer window, surpassing Ardon Jashari, who joined Milan in August for €37 million.
Nkunku is preparing for his debut in Serie A after a two-year stint at Chelsea, where he had limited playing time due to frequent injuries. Before moving to the London club, the French forward scored 47 goals in 119 Bundesliga appearances for RB Leipzig.
