AC Milan President Paolo Scaroni has indicated that the club`s forthcoming stadium will significantly enhance the fan experience by bringing spectators `closer` to the playing field, a notable improvement over the historic San Siro. This development follows the Milan City Council`s approval on Monday for the sale of the San Siro area, clearing the way for both AC Milan and Inter to proceed with the construction of their shared new home.
Scaroni: New Stadium to be `Active Every Day`

Scaroni, reflecting on the arduous process, stated to Repubblica via TMW: “We have finally concluded the initial phase, which was crucial. This has been a project we`ve dedicated many years to, perhaps too many, and I have been involved throughout.”

He further elaborated on the vision for the new venue: “We can now confirm our plans to build a modern and highly efficient stadium, designed to be a vibrant hub active every day, similar to leading venues in other major European cities, but ours will surpass them in beauty. While San Siro is aging, its core strength lies in providing an excellent view of the game. The new stadium will elevate this further, offering an even more immersive experience with fans positioned closer to the pitch and a more vertical seating arrangement.”
Although official renderings are yet to be released, it is anticipated that the new multi-purpose stadium, a joint venture between Inter and Milan, will boast a capacity of 71,500 spectators. Construction is projected to commence in 2027.
