Following the confirmation of Marc Pubill`s transfer to Atletico Madrid, AC Milan is reportedly intensifying its efforts to sign Guéla Doué from Strasbourg. The Italian club is preparing to submit a new offer of €22 million, although current indications suggest this amount may still be insufficient to meet Strasbourg`s demands.
The Rossoneri have successfully completed the acquisition of their new left-back, Pervis Estupinan, from Brighton and Hove Albion. The deal, valued at €17 million plus €2 million in add-ons, awaits Estupinan`s arrival in Italy tomorrow for his medical examinations.
Doué Becomes Milan`s Top Right-Back Target
Despite securing a left-back, Milan`s quest for a new right-back has proven more challenging. The club opted against pursuing Marc Pubill, even after he underwent initial medical assessments. Subsequently, Atletico Madrid announced an agreement with UD Almeria for Pubill`s transfer, reportedly involving €16 million upfront, €4 million in add-ons, and a 15 percent sell-on clause.
According to reports from Calciomercato.com, Milan is now poised to present an improved bid for Doué, following the rejection of their initial €18 million offer. The updated proposal is understood to be worth €22 million, which includes performance-related bonuses. However, this figure remains significantly lower than Strasbourg`s stated asking price of €30 million, indicating that further negotiations will likely be required.
