AC Milan has reportedly submitted a second offer to Strasbourg as they aim to sign Guela Doué (22) during the current summer transfer window. This follows an initial offer from the Serie A club that was previously turned down by the Alsatian side.
Milan`s first bid was approximately €15 million and was quickly rejected by Strasbourg. The second offer represents an increase of €3 million, bringing the total to €18 million. However, this figure is still below the Ligue 1 club`s desired valuation for the defender, formerly of Rennes. The second offer is also anticipated to be rejected, as BlueCo is seeking a higher fee for the 22-year-old.
Liam Rosenior considers Doué an important player for his squad. The former Hull City head coach is hopeful that the Côte d’Ivoire international will be available and ready to contribute by late August, when Strasbourg is scheduled to compete in the qualifying rounds for the UEFA Europa Conference League, aiming to secure their place in the competition.
