Adam Gilchrist reveals it’s semifinalist for ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 . Adam Gilchrist, a former Australian cricketer, has unveiled his top four squads for the ICC Cricket World Cup, which will take place in India in October.
Gilchrist recently discussed the event in an interview with Press Trust of India (PTI).
Australia and England are two other teams that might make it to the semifinals, according to Gilchrist, who spoke to PTI.
He also emphasized that Australia will have three matches against India before the major event, giving them the chance to fine-tune their preparations.
It’s a bit difficult to predict who will win the World Cup, but I believe there are likely four semi-finalists there. “Australia will learn a lot from their efforts in South Africa when they come to India,” he said. “They have three games against India before the World Cup so they will have a bit more of a full strength squad there so that might tell us a bit about where they are at.”
In October and November of 2023, India will host the ICC World Cup, which will have a total of 10 competing teams. The first game of the tournament will begin on October 5, and the championship game will take place on November 19.
Gilchrist, who has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the game, is nonetheless unshakeable in his confidence in Zampa’s ability. He expresses faith that the spinner will make a strong recovery during the World Cup by highlighting Zampa’s track record, inherent talent, and fortitude.
“Adam Zampa, obviously in South Africa was at the receiving end a little bit, but it’s different conditions out here in India with different pitches, and he is a world-class spin bowler and he has shown that particularly across T20 cricket and now he gets his chance in the 50 over World Cup,” Gilchrist said.
