Adrien Thomasson: Lens Captain Open to Future Possibilities

Football & Cricket

Lens captain Adrien Thomasson, 31, has stated he is “not closing any doors” regarding his future as his contract with RC Lens approaches its final months.

A key player for Lens since joining from RC Strasbourg Alsace, Thomasson`s vital role has continued unchanged even under new manager Pierre Sage this season. The Frenchman openly discussed his situation at the club.

Thomasson explained, “My main ambition is to enjoy my daily life, which I am currently doing. I`m not overly focused on what the season holds; the priority is to play and enjoy the game. Discussions with the club will happen eventually, but I`m not worried. I trust in life and the future, so there is no concern about that.” His current agreement with Lens is set to expire at the end of the season.

While Thomasson has long harbored a desire to play internationally, he clarified, “Playing abroad has always appealed to me. However, I wouldn`t move just for the sake of it – I already go on holiday there! We`ll see what opportunities arise. Although I`ve always wanted to experience football elsewhere, I`m also open to the possibility of spending my entire career in France, particularly in Ligue 1. I`m open to all options, keeping every door open.”
