After Shoaib Ali, a superfan from Bangladesh, is harassed in Pune, Indian fans apologize. Shoaib Ali, a superfan of Bangladesh, received an apology from a bunch of Indian fans after he was harassed during India vs. Bangladesh’s World Cup match in Pune.

Following Rohit Sharma’s team’s victory over Bangladesh at Pune’s MCA Stadium on October 19, a Bangladeshi superfan named Shoaib Ali claimed in a video that quickly went viral that he had a traumatic experience when onlookers wearing Indian cricket jerseys tore apart his cherished stuffed tiger toy.

The stuffing spills out of the tiger when someone wearing an Indian cricket team jersey pulls at its tail, as shown in the video. He is seen laughing with someone else who is also wearing an Indian jersey. Shoaib, who is well-known for dressing like a Bangla Tiger and bringing his tiger plush to cricket matches to cheer for his team, said he was surprised for the harsh response he received from Indian supporters.

Shoaib Ali then posted the footage on social media and expressed his extreme dissatisfaction. He expressed his astonishment at the conduct of Indian cricket fans and emphasized the need to preserve cricket’s reputation as a gentleman’s game. He urged civility and respect before and during games.

Shoaib Ali got the chance to meet Indian skipper Rohit Sharma prior to the Bangladesh match, and he was incredibly admiring of him. He rolled down his car window and said, “Arey tu yaha agaya (Hey, you have come here as well!)” when Rohit saw him.

“As the squad was practicing inside the stadium, I was waiting outside the main gate with a few other Bangladeshi fans. Abruptly, I noticed a blue vehicle with Rohit Sharma behind the wheel. I called out his name. Rohit got out of his car and talked to me the next second. He is a really grounded individual, which is why he is a prominent player, according to Shoaib Ali Bukhari, who was cited by the Daily Star.
