According to reports from Sacha Tavolieri, Saudi club Al-Nassr has identified Stade Rennais center-back Jérémy Jacquet (20) as their primary transfer target for the current summer window.
The Saudi club aims to strengthen its defensive line this season to challenge for the Saudi Pro League title. Last season, they finished second, eight points behind Al-Ittihad.
Tavolieri indicates that Al-Nassr is prepared to offer the France youth international a substantial salary and has already contacted his representatives to discuss a potential move. However, there is currently no indication that Jacquet will accept a transfer to the Middle East.
The defender, who notably excelled in Rennes` 1-0 victory over Olympique de Marseille to start the season, is also being closely monitored by European giants, including Arsenal and Real Madrid, who are keen to acquire his talents.
Saudi clubs have aggressively pursued French talents this season. For instance, Nathan Zézé (20) made the notable and rather surprising decision to move to Neom SC from FC Nantes this summer, despite reports of interest from Premier League clubs.
