Despite recent reports indicating a fresh bid from Sporting CP for Alberto Costa, sources in Portugal suggest that Juventus is poised to remove the full-back from the transfer market, signaling his likely retention by the Italian club.
Over the past few days, there has been considerable speculation regarding Sporting`s attempts to reacquire the 21-year-old talent. This comes just half a year after his €13.8 million transfer from Vitoria Guimaraes to Turin, underscoring Sporting`s keen interest in bringing him back.
According to the latest information from renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Sporting`s most recent offer for Costa stands at €13 million along with performance-based add-ons.
Romano further indicates that Juventus`s valuation for Costa is a fixed fee of €15 million, complemented by additional bonuses and a 10 percent share of any future resale profit, reflecting their belief in his long-term value.
Juventus Wary of Letting Alberto Costa Go

However, Portuguese newspaper A Bola suggests that Sporting`s pursuit is likely futile, as Juventus coach Igor Tudor has reportedly made the decision to retain Alberto Costa for the upcoming season, emphasizing his importance to the squad.
Costa has featured in 14 competitive matches for Juventus, providing three assists. Notably, two of these contributions occurred during the FIFA Club World Cup, where he showcased his capabilities on a larger stage.
The right-back`s impressive displays in that tournament have made Juventus hesitant to part with him prematurely. The club is keen to further assess his potential and integration into the team before considering any departure.
Given their history of allowing promising young players to leave too early, a mistake they have made several times in recent years, Juventus is now expected to resist all but the most exceptional offers for Alberto Costa, prioritizing his development within the club.
