Another Barcelona Youngster Suffers ACL Injury

Football & Cricket

La Liga powerhouse Barcelona has unfortunately received another setback in its youth division. Attacking midfielder/winger Juan Hernández, currently playing for Barcelona’s reserve team, Barca Atlètic, has been confirmed to be facing a long-term absence from the field.

The 18-year-old suffered a serious knee injury during a training session on Thursday morning in preparation for an upcoming match against Atlètic Lleida. After going down and visibly distressed, clutching his knee, it became apparent that the young talent had sustained a significant injury.

Subsequent medical examinations have confirmed that Hernández has torn his ACL and is expected to be sidelined for approximately a year. This unfortunate incident follows closely on the heels of another ACL injury to fellow Barca Atlètic player Patricio Pacífico, adding to the club’s concerns at the youth level.
