AS Monaco rejected a late offer from AC Milan for defender Thilo Kehrer (28).
Having concluded most of their transfer business earlier in the window, Monaco shifted its focus towards player sales as the deadline approached. Notable departures from the Principality club before the transfer period ended included Wilfried Singo, Eliesse Ben Seghir, and Breel Embolo.
Other players also attracted interest. While reports of Saudi Arabia`s interest in captain Denis Zakaria were well-documented, there was also significant interest in Kehrer. Despite the arrival of Eric Dier earlier in this window, the German defender has yet to feature in the starting lineup this season.
Nevertheless, with UEFA Champions League football returning to Stade Louis II, Kehrer is expected to play a crucial role. Consequently, Monaco declined AC Milan`s proposal for the defender.
Earlier reports suggesting a potential late move for Axel Disasi from Chelsea to Monaco proved to be unfounded.
