Italian media sources indicate that AS Roma is on the verge of discontinuing its efforts to acquire Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, opting instead to pursue Chelsea`s promising young talent, Tyrique George.
Roma Shifts Focus from Sancho to George
For weeks, Roma had been trying to finalize a transfer for Manchester United`s Sancho, yet the player`s consent remained elusive. Although Sancho hadn`t explicitly rejected a move to the Stadio Olimpico, reports from Gianluca Di Marzio suggest that after a recent meeting in England between Roma director Frederic Massara and Sancho`s representatives on Tuesday, the Giallorossi now believe a positive response from the player is improbable.

Given Sancho`s apparent unavailability, Tuesday`s reports indicate that Roma will now concentrate their recruitment efforts on securing Tyrique George from Chelsea. The 19-year-old winger has attracted interest from several Bundesliga clubs, but he is reportedly keen on moving to Roma before the transfer window closes.

Di Marzio further notes that George prefers a permanent transfer over a loan spell from Chelsea. Roma is reportedly ready to invest substantially to secure him on a full-time basis, with Massara actively engaged in discussions with Chelsea officials and George`s agent to facilitate the transfer.
