Australia Beat Pakistan B by 14 Runs in the last Warm-Up Match 

What a match this was, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first posting a huge total of 351 runs on the board. Pakistan bowlers started brilliantly but couldn’t manage to get a single wicket. At the end of the first powerplay, Australia was 64/0. Usama Mir came with the first breakthrough by sending Warner into the pavilion. At one stage Australia was 172 for 5 in 29.1 overs. But Maxwell’s 70+ quick-fire set a great platform for the late-order batters. Inglis and Green also score some important runs. Australia scored 103 runs in the last 10 overs to get to 351 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Spinner did a great job for Pakistan even though they proved a bit expensive at the end but they did well for the team against such a mighty batting lineup. Spinners shared 4 wickets giving away 134 runs in their 21 overs collectively. The pacers gave away 203 runs in 29 overs, sharing two wickets. So, the pace attack of Pakistan was expensive.

The response from Pakistan was usual as they do most of the time losing wickets upfront. Lost Imam and Fakhar early. At one stage, Pakistan was 83/4. When Babar joined the crease, Australia brought their part-timers. Pakistan was looking down and out stage, made a strong comeback. Iftikhar and Babar added 144 runs in 100 balls. Iftikhar got out for 83 runs and Babar retired after scoring 90 for 59 balls.

Australia bowled really well. Starc was a bit expensive. Marnus Labuschagne was the leading wicket-taker from Australia. He got 3 wickets for 78 runs in his 8.4 overs. Australia tried everything to lose to Pakistan but they couldn’t. In the end, Australia won by 14 runs bowling Pakistan out for 337 runs.
