Australia Collapse in front of Giant Spin Attack 89 for 8 Wickets

India take on Australia in Chennai where Pat Cummins decides to bat first on the Chennai’s turning track. Australian batters struggle from the very first ball as the Indian pace-factory don’t allow easy runs to the Kangroos’ hard hitting opening pair.

After the fall of the 1st wicket, Steven smith and David Warner fight really well for defending the decision to bat first in ICC Men’s CWC23, against the host, on the spin track of Chennai under the burning  heat.

Both batter add 69 off 85 when warner is caught and bowled by Kuldip. Manus Labuschagne and Smith carry on with the intentions to bat till 35 but suddenly the pitch start spinning and turning quite a bit.

Australia are 110/2 in 27 in their first ICC ODI World cup23 and making runs at 4.07 and expected to finish 275+ at the end of the innings. From here on Indian Spinners carry the day with their magical spells.

Aussies lose next five wickets for just 30 runs. At one stage they’re 110/2 in  and suddenly the tide turns for them and their are 140/7 in just 36.2. It was a disastrous collapse in Kangroos battin gline-up and at one stage it looked quite difficult for them to cross 175 run mark on the board.

Luckily, Australian skipper Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc step up to provide something to bowl at. Cummins scored 15 and Starc makes 28 and take team’s total to 199. In brief, Australia could only add 89 for the loss of 8 wickets in final 22.3 overs.
