In an interview to Star Sports the former Indian legend cricketer, Guatam Gambbir revealed that Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has the potential and skill set to set the upcoming World Cup on fire. He is a technically sound player who has the ability to outclass Worldclass players like Joe Root, Virat Kholi, Rohit Sharma.
During the interview to Star Sports when the anchor person asked him “ Who will keep eye on in the ICC World Cup 2023 as we have Virat Kohli, Joe Root, Kane Williamson, Rohit Sharma, David Warner, Steve Smith and Babar Azam, as these are the great players of the recent era”
“Babar Azam can set this World Cup on fire. I have seen a lot of players with so much time to bat. I think that Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson and Joe Root are there, but Babar Azam has a different level of capability,”
