Babar Azam stops Mohammad Nabi from tying his shoe laces as a gesture of respect

Babar Azam stops Mohammad Nabi from tying his shoe laces as a gesture of respect. During the Chennai match, Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam showed remarkable sportsmanship by stopping Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan from tying his shoelaces.

The amusing conversation started when Babar Azam saw his undone shoelaces after taking a drink.

Nabi, who was getting ready to bowl, nodded and stepped forward to give his help. But Babar, who respected Nabi’s standing in the cricket community, wouldn’t let him tie his own laces.

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first earlier in the day. Vice captain Shadab Khan returned to the squad in place of the injured Mohammad Nawaz, marking the only change to the Green Shirts starting lineup. Fazalhaq Farooqi was replaced by Noor Ahmad in Afghanistan’s starting lineup.

After a 56-run partnership, Pakistan had a great start. In the 11th over, Azmatullah Omarzai removed Imam-ul-Haq for just 17.

Abdullah Shafique, who opened, and captain Azam of Pakistan scored 74 and 58 runs, respectively.

Later in the innings, Pakistan scored 61 in the final five overs thanks to a quick 73 runs from Shadab and Iftikhar Ahmed for the sixth wicket. Shadab fell off the final delivery, bringing Pakistan’s total to 282/7 in 50 overs.

Regarding Nabi, he bowled brilliantly for Afghanistan. The veteran’s final stats were 10-0-31-1. After scoring 25 runs off 34 balls with three fours, Saud Shakeel was removed by the off-break bowler.
