ICC Men’s Cricket Worldcup 2023 has been witnessing some thrilling encounters everyday. Earlier in the day, in the first game, Bangladesh skipper, Shakib al Hassan invited Hashmatullah Shahidi to bat first in the third match of ICC World cup 2023. 

Bangladeshi bowlers showcase strict discipline in their bowling and restricted AFG to 156 only. The chase is on here in Dharamsala in the 3rd game of Men’s Cricket WC23 where BAN require 157 at required RR of 3.23.

Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan start the innings against Fazal Haq Farooqi. The beginning of the 1st power play looks good as both openers provide a steady start. Mehdi Hasan Miraz and Najmul Hasan Shanto put up a great show agaisnt the Afghanistan’s spin attack and provide 50 run stand for the 3rd wicket. They are 83 for 2 in 17 requiring 74 only in 33 overs with asking rate 2.25.

Shanto and Miraz take the game away from Afghanistan. They provide 97-runs partnership for the 3rd wicket off 129 deliveries striking the ball at 75. Rahmat Shah’s stunning effort in the field let Miraz go back to the pavilion on Naveen’s full lenth delivery after scoring 57 off 73. He’s scored five 4s in his innings of 57. BAN are 124/3 in 28.1 need 33 more off 131.

Here comes the skipper who has shown in the first innings and delivered right from the front. Aghanistan introduce Omarzai in the 32nd over when BAN need 22 in final 19 overs. Meanwhile Shakib who looks in hurry gets out on the boundary wall on Omarzai’s ball. He goes back to the dugout after scorin g 14 off 17.

And BAN win by 6 wickets and 92 balls to spare.
