La Liga champions Barcelona are reportedly keen admirers of a defender from Premier League club Newcastle United. The player in question is Lewis Hall.
Barcelona and Newcastle recently clashed in a two-legged Champions League Last-16 tie. Despite his team’s overall defeat, Hall distinguished himself with a strong performance, particularly in his direct battle against Barcelona’s rising star Lamine Yamal.
The England international effectively managed to contain the explosive Lamine Yamal, doing an admirable job for an opposing full-back. Furthermore, Hall consistently demonstrated an offensive threat going forward.
His impressive display is understood to have captured the attention of Barcelona’s management. As the club continues its search for potential left-back reinforcements, the former Chelsea talent has been added to a transfer shortlist that also includes Alejandro Grimaldo and Andrea Cambiaso.
However, any potential move for Hall is considered ambitious, primarily due to the significant costs likely to be involved.
