Barcelona youngster will be allowed to leave this summer

La Liga giants Barcelona are ready to allow an up-and-coming member of the club’s defensive ranks to depart over the months ahead.

The player in question? Jofre Torrents.

The name of youngster Jofre will of course be a familiar one to close followers of Barcelona. This comes after the talented left-back was this past season introduced to the first-team dynamic in Catalunya’s capital.

Jofre went on to rack up four senior appearances between La Liga and the Copa del Rey, widely impressing the Blaugrana staff and fanbase alike.

As alluded to above, though, the 19-year-old’s development, next season at least, looks set to continue away from the Spotify Camp Nou.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, with the blessing of Hansi Flick and his staff:

‘It appears the left-back will be loaned out this summer, with the aim of accumulating playing time that will allow him to continue developing as a top-level footballer. The club has received several offers and is currently reviewing them.’
