Eliesse Ben Seghir, 20, was observed participating in AS Monaco’s training session in La Turbie on Friday morning. This attendance comes despite widespread reports indicating he is on the verge of a significant transfer to German powerhouse Bayer Leverkusen.
According to French newspaper L’Équipe, all signs suggest Ben Seghir is set to complete a move to Bayer Leverkusen, with the deal reportedly valued at over €30 million. The presence of Leverkusen’s representatives in the region, coinciding with the UEFA Champions League draw in Monaco on Thursday night, further fuels these speculations.
While the Moroccan international is widely expected to join the Bundesliga club, his active participation in the recent training session implies that the transfer might not be immediately imminent.
In contrast, Soungoutou Magassa, 21, was notably absent from the training session. The France youth international is currently in London, finalizing his anticipated €20 million transfer to West Ham United. Also absent from first-team training were Paul Pogba, who is following an individual program, and Vanderson, who was working in the gym.
