According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Bologna is showing keen interest in acquiring two players from Young Boys: midfielder Filip Ugrinic and right-back Zachary Athekame.
Having recently triumphed in the Coppa Italia, the Rossoblu are preparing for a busy season that includes participation in the Europa League, Serie A, and the defense of their domestic cup title.
To bolster their squad for these challenges, Bologna`s recruitment efforts are reportedly focused on Switzerland, particularly on the Young Boys club.
Key Targets: Ugrinic and Athekame

The prime candidate is Filip Ugrinic, a 26-year-old midfielder who has earned three senior international caps for Switzerland. Last season, he contributed significantly with three goals and five assists across 36 league matches. With his contract expiring in June 2026, Young Boys face the decision of selling him soon or risking his departure as a free agent.
Additionally, Bologna is eyeing 20-year-old right-back Zachary Athekame from Young Boys, considering him as a potential alternative to Napoli`s Alessandro Zanoli. Athekame, a regular for Switzerland`s Under-21 team with ten caps, recently extended his contract last month, securing his stay with the Swiss club until June 2029. Udinese has also been reported as interested in the young defender.
