Bournemouth is reportedly considering a transfer for Sevilla`s 25-year-old center-back, Loïc Badé, according to a report from Foot Mercato. The Premier League club is actively searching for alternative players to strengthen Andoni Iraola`s defensive lineup, especially after Dean Huijsen`s recent move to Real Madrid. Additionally, there are indications that Illia Zabarnyi might also depart Vitality Stadium due to interest from PSG.
Previously, Bournemouth had focused on acquiring Lille`s center-back, Bafodé Diakité, and had even agreed to personal terms with him. However, the source indicates that Lille is demanding a substantial €40 million transfer fee to release their French defender, who had an outstanding season stepping in after Leny Yoro`s transfer to Manchester United last year.
Lille, often referred to as “Les Dogues,” has reportedly rejected a €30 million offer from Bournemouth for Diakité. Consequently, Badé emerges as a more cost-effective option, with Sevilla expected to ask for approximately €30 million for the center-back. Badé notably impressed during his debut for the French national team (“Les Bleus”) against Germany in the Nations League third-place play-off.
