Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe, the 24-year-old midfielder, is reportedly on the verge of returning to French football. The former Paris Saint-Germain youth product is poised to join Stade Brestois, according to information from L’Équipe.
For several months, Dina Ebimbe has been actively seeking an exit from Eintracht Frankfurt. The French player has recently been hampered by a series of injury issues, one of which notably scuttled his potential transfer to AS Monaco earlier in January.
Despite these setbacks, significant interest in the former PSG talent has persisted, particularly from clubs within France. While OGC Nice showed preliminary interest earlier in the transfer window, their approach did not materialize into a concrete offer. In contrast, Brest’s pursuit is firm. Aiming to fill the void left by Pierre Lees-Melou, who yesterday finalized his move to Paris FC, Les Ty-Zéfs have reportedly reached an agreement with Frankfurt.
The deal will see Dina Ebimbe initially join Brest on a loan basis, with an option for the club to make the transfer permanent at a later stage. The midfielder is anticipated to undergo his medical examination on Saturday, pending the finalization of the loan agreement.
