Cagliari is set to acquire promising Turkish player Semih Kilicsoy from Besiktas. The deal, valued at a potential €14 million, is expected to finalize following his appearance in Besiktas` upcoming Champions League fixture.
While a preliminary agreement was established more than a week ago, transfer market specialist Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport Italia reports that the concluding aspects of the deal were finalized recently.
The transfer faced a brief delay as Besiktas sought to include Kilicsoy in their squad for the crucial second leg of their Champions League preliminary round match against Shakhtar Donetsk.
With the match scheduled for this evening, there`s anticipation regarding his participation, as any injury sustained could jeopardize the impending transfer.
Cagliari Eagerly Awaits Kilicsoy`s Arrival

The structure of the transfer is anticipated to be a one-season loan, costing Cagliari €1 million, with an integrated option to make the move permanent for an additional €12 million, plus €2 million in performance-based add-ons.
Furthermore, Besiktas may secure a 20% sell-on clause, entitling them to a share of any future transfer fee should Kilicsoy be sold by Cagliari.
Cagliari`s success in signing Kilicsoy, who will celebrate his 20th birthday next month, has reportedly surprised several other interested clubs.
Kilicsoy primarily operates as a central striker but demonstrates versatility by performing effectively in wider attacking positions. He has already earned five senior caps for the Turkish national team.
