Cagliari Nearing Double Deal for Esposito and Folorunsho

Cagliari is reportedly nearing the completion of two transfer deals, one for Inter forward Sebastiano Esposito and another for Napoli midfielder Michael Folorunsho. Both players are getting closer to joining the Sardinian team.

Sources like SkySport indicate that Tuesday, July 15th, is expected to be a key day in Cagliari`s efforts to sign these two players. Inter and Napoli are apparently willing to let these non-essential players go to create roster spots and generate funds for their own primary transfer targets.

Folorunsho was on loan at Fiorentina last season, making 19 appearances across all competitions for the Florence side. Esposito, on the other hand, had a reasonably successful loan spell at Empoli, where he scored ten goals in 35 matches. The Inter player also featured four times for the Nerazzurri during the recent Club World Cup tournament.

Esposito Favors Cagliari Move Despite Fiorentina`s Interest

Italian media reports suggest that Fiorentina is also interested in the Inter player who appears surplus to requirements. However, Cagliari seems to be leading the race, having reportedly already made an offer around €7 million, which includes a percentage of any future resale fee.

Barring a significant late bid from Fiorentina for the 23-year-old, it appears probable that Esposito will indeed join Folorunsho in making the move to Sardinia.
