Cagliari have completed the signing of goalkeeper Gennaro Borrelli on a free transfer. Simultaneously, reports suggest they are close to securing a deal for Inter Milan striker Sebastiano Esposito, valued at approximately €7 million.
The Sardinian club finalized Borrelli`s arrival earlier today. He was available as a free agent following the bankruptcy of his former club, Brescia.
In a related move concerning their goalkeepers, Cagliari have loaned Alen Sherri to Serie B side Frosinone. The loan agreement includes an option for Frosinone to buy, as well as a counter-option for Cagliari.

According to information from Sky Sport Italia pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, Cagliari and Inter are reportedly nearing an agreement for the permanent transfer of 23-year-old forward Sebastiano Esposito. The proposed fee is €7 million, with Inter retaining a percentage of any future sale.
Sebastiano is one of three brothers who play professionally in Italian football. Salvatore plays for Spezia, while Pio has recently impressed and is expected to remain with Inter Milan after his performance in the FIFA Club World Cup.
