Italian football club Como is reportedly on the verge of securing an agreement with Real Madrid for the Spanish central defender, Jacobo Ramon. This prospective transfer is seen as a strategic move by Cesc Fabregas’ side, aiming to replicate the successful formula previously used to acquire promising talent Nico Paz.

According to reports from TuttoMercatoWeb, discussions are well underway for the tall 20-year-old defender. Ramon notably made his first team appearances for the La Liga giants during the 2024-25 campaign, showcasing his potential on a grand stage.

Como Emulates Nico Paz Strategy in Ramon Pursuit

Last summer, Nico Paz moved to Como from Real Madrid for a modest transfer fee of €6 million. This agreement included a crucial buy-back clause, allowing the Spanish club the option to re-sign him until 2027.

Since his arrival in Italy, the Argentine forward has proven to be a standout performer for Como. Last season, he significantly contributed to the team`s efforts in Serie A, scoring six goals and providing nine assists in 35 appearances.

Now, Fabregas’ management is keen to finalize a similar arrangement for Ramon. The prospective deal would see Ramon join Como on a permanent basis, with Real Madrid retaining a specific right to buy the player back within a predetermined timeframe, mirroring the successful transfer model established with Paz.
