Napoli coach Antonio Conte has reportedly pinpointed Giovanni Fabbian of Bologna as the preferred candidate to serve as an understudy for Scottish international Scott McTominay. However, Napoli`s interest in Fabio Miretti also persists.
The Neapolitan club is looking to bolster its central midfield this summer, with both Miretti and Fabbian prominently featuring on their list of potential recruits.

While Miretti, recently returned to Juventus from a loan spell at Genoa, is certainly valued by Napoli, formal negotiations between the Partenopei and the Bianconeri for the Italian midfielder have not yet reached an advanced stage.
