Jonathan David shared his exhilaration after marking his Juventus debut with a goal, stating it was “everything I hoped for” upon arriving in Turin. Meanwhile, Kenan Yildiz cautioned against premature Scudetto discussions, asserting it’s “too early to think about the Scudetto right now.”
The Canadian international etched his name in history as the first CANMNT player to find the net for Juventus, netting the opening goal in their 2-0 Serie A triumph against Parma this evening.
Ideal Serie A Debut for David
David, who joined the Bianconeri as a free agent this summer, expressed his satisfaction to DAZN Italia:
“It’s everything I hoped for. It was a professional decision.”
Juventus faced a resolute Parma defense initially, but after David`s breakthrough goal, the match saw a twist when Andrea Cambiaso received a red card for a reaction foul on Mathias Lovik. Substitute Dusan Vlahovic then sealed the victory with a second goal.

David acknowledged the fervent support from the stands:
“The fans brought an amazing atmosphere, you could feel them pushing us, both before the goal, then after the red card.”
He added:
“I am happy to score in my first game, but the most important thing is the three points.”
Given his impressive record of scoring at least 15 goals in each of his last four club seasons, the question arises whether a similar target is set for his inaugural Juventus campaign. David insisted:
“The target is to help the team as much as I can. If it’s by scoring goals, providing assists, running back, defending, I will do everything.”

Kenan Yildiz earned the Serie A Man of the Match award for his pivotal role, providing assists for both David and Vlahovic in the 2-0 triumph.
The promising Turkish talent, now conducting interviews in Italian, remarked:
“We played a great game against a strong opponent. I am happy for the players, we did well this week and we hope to continue like this after three points.”

He also praised his new teammate:
“Jonathan David is a very strong player, we already saw what he could do with Lille and I am very happy to be playing alongside him.”
While Juventus commenced their season with a victory, they are not widely considered among the top contenders for the Serie A title. Yildiz reiterated their grounded approach:
“We are at the start of the season, we have to take it one game at a time. We are not thinking about the Scudetto right now.”
