Clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal may have an unexpected opportunity as Real Madrid is reportedly open to considering the sale of Dean Huijsen.
The promising young centre-back joined Real Madrid from Bournemouth last summer, following a period of highly impressive performances in the Premier League.
However, Huijsen’s tenure at the Bernabeu hasn’t been consistently convincing, and it is now suggested that he could be available for approximately £54m.
While specific interested clubs are not named, Huijsen was a strong transfer target for Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea less than a year ago.
Premier League Clubs Likely Still Monitoring Dean Huijsen
Given his excellent form during his time at Bournemouth, it’s highly probable that these Premier League clubs would still be interested if a return to England were genuinely on the cards.
It’s also mentioned that the Spain international’s potential transfer fee could be only £4m more than what Real Madrid originally paid for him last summer.
This represents a reasonable price for a talented young player who might simply be experiencing a period of adjustment at a new club amidst managerial changes and other challenges this season.
Dean Huijsen: A Potentially Crucial Signing for Liverpool
Arsenal’s defensive line already boasts significant quality and depth, suggesting that Huijsen might not be a top priority for them.
In contrast, Liverpool appears to be in urgent need of defensive reinforcement, having conceded numerous goals this season, especially with Ibrahima Konate approaching the end of his current contract.
For Liverpool, this transfer could be an excellent acquisition – he aligns well with their current requirements and is reportedly available at a very attractive price.
