Did Wasim want 'AI' to choose the Pakistan World Cup Squad

Did Wasim want ‘AI’ to choose the Pakistan World Cup Squad? The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to publish the squad, leaving many curious about probable alterations from the Asia Cup 2023. As a result, cricket fans and former players in Pakistan are eagerly expecting the announcement of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 squad.

Former chief selector Muhammad Wasim recently published a mysterious remark on the social media site X (formerly known as Twitter), which heightens the mystery.

Netizens have engaged in a lively discussion about this perplexing message, with many thinking that Wasim was making fun of team selection.

As you may recall, the selectors found it challenging to assemble a 15-man squad for the much awaited ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 due to Pakistan’s poor performance in the Asia Cup 2023.

Several players’ poor performances have caused Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq and Captain Babar Azam to disagree about the need to make changes to the squad, which has caused conflict between the two.

Mickey Arthur, the team’s director, continues to play county cricket in England and is not present during this entire selection process while the two are working finalizing the squad for the huge event.

The team’s underwhelming performance in the Asian tournament has highlighted a weakness in the cases of Mohammad Haris, Wasim Junior, Usama Mir, and all-rounder Faheem Ashraf.

The selection panel is now debating the names of Hasan Ali and the mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed. Though fans are not in favor of including Hasan Ali after such a long absence from the international cricket. The mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed might be a good change for the team.

One point that needs to be made is that vice-captain Shadab Khan and left-handed opener Fakhar Zaman have been out of form for a while, but their spots in the World Cup are still guaranteed, despite the doubts about their form.

It should be mentioned that Pakistan was eliminated from the current Asia Cup 2023 after suffering consecutive losses to India and Sri Lanka in the tournament’s Super 4 round.
