Atalanta has finalized the acquisition of Nikola Krstovic from Lecce for a total of €30 million, comprising an initial €25 million fee plus €5 million in performance-based add-ons. This transfer comes after Atalanta abandoned its pursuit of Rodrigo Muniz due to Fulham`s steep €50 million valuation.

Atalanta, also known as `La Dea,` had initially targeted Muniz as a potential successor to Mateo Retegui this summer. However, their €40 million offer was declined, and with Fulham increasing their demand to €50 million, Atalanta decided to withdraw their interest. Consequently, the club swiftly shifted its focus to Lecce`s striker, Nikola Krstovic, and quickly secured an agreement, building on prior discussions.
Krstovic Secured Quickly by Atalanta

According to Football Italia`s transfer specialist Alfredo Pedullà, the deal`s structure involves a €25 million base fee, complemented by €5 million in performance-related bonuses.
The Montenegro international, who celebrated his 25th birthday in April, was originally acquired by Lecce from Dunajska Streda in 2023 for a modest €4.4 million, including bonuses.

Krstovic made a significant impression in Serie A last season, netting 11 goals and providing five assists across 37 appearances. He also started the current season strongly, scoring in Lecce`s Coppa Italia win against Juve Stabia.
The striker is anticipated to complete his medical examination with Atalanta within the next 48 hours, ensuring he is prepared for the start of the Serie A season.
