Everton has reportedly emerged as a leading candidate to sign Douglas Luiz, the midfielder from Juventus. Discussions for the Brazilian player are said to have begun.
While negotiations are in their early stages, Everton manager David Moyes is reportedly very interested in adding the former Aston Villa player to his midfield ahead of the new season.

However, Everton isn`t the only club reportedly vying for the Juventus player`s signature. Fulham, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and his previous club, Aston Villa, are also rumoured to be interested in the Brazilian.
Despite the competition, it is suggested that Everton currently holds the most advanced position in the pursuit of the 27-year-old midfielder.
Juventus is reportedly asking for just €25 million for Luiz. This figure is half the amount the Turin club paid for him last summer.
In the 2024-25 Serie A season, he featured only 19 times for Juventus, without registering any goals or assists, and received two yellow cards.
