Dussen with the Second 100 of the Innings On the Track to Score 400 Runs in the ICC World Cup 2023

Rassie van der Dussen scored 100 runs for 103 balls against Sri Lanka in the 4th match of the ICC World Cup 2023. This is the second 100 of South African innings. Quieten de Cock completed his 100 earlier with a healthy strike rate of 119+. Both the batters played exceptionally well. South African captain Bavuma departed earlier when the score was 10 on the board. After that, there was one-way traffic.

It was a well-placed innings from Duessen. For his century he consumed 103 deliveries. He took his time at the start of his innings and stepped on the paddle. Wellalege initially caused some problems but once he settled down he played shorts to all parts of the ground.

De Cock and Dussen added 204 runs together to put South Africa in the driving seat. Dussen run-a-ball inning and set the platform for the rest of the betters to put a huge total on the board.

He made 108 runs for 110 balls with 13 fours and 2 sixes having a strike rate of just under 100. When Dussen departed the score was 264 in 37.1 overs for the loss of the 3 wickets.

They are well in the course of 400 runs. If South Africa does it will be the first team to score 400 in the ICC World Cup 2023. Sri Lankan bowlers are looking clueless in front of South African batters.
