FC Barcelona has received encouraging news regarding potential transfer targets. It has been revealed that promising Brazilian player Eduardo Conceição has put a move to English club Manchester City on hold, with the hope of joining Barcelona at Camp Nou.
The 16-year-old attacker, known by his nickname ‘Dudú’, has been making a name for himself in Brazil as a future star. He currently plays for Palmeiras U20s, performing above his age group.
So far this season, Conceição has been involved in eight goals in 13 appearances. His impressive performances have attracted attention from across Europe.
Numerous European clubs have expressed interest in Conceição, and Manchester City was widely reported to be close to securing his signature. However, the Sky Blues have recently faced a setback.
According to a report from journalist Joaquim Piera of Diario Sport, “Eduardo Conceição has decided to deactivate the offer from Manchester City, who had positioned themselves in pole position to sign him. The player’s professional circle has made the decision to wait for Barcelona, who have already made a move for the player.”
If a deal is reached with Barcelona, Conceição would continue his development with Palmeiras before eventually joining the La Liga club.
