After a three-year tenure with Eintracht Frankfurt, following his initial departure from formative club Paris-Saint-Germain, Éric-Junior Dina Ebimbe, 24, has openly discussed the motivations behind his recent decision to return to France`s top-tier football league, Ligue 1. His time at Frankfurt commenced with a loan period before his transfer became permanent.
The past few months have proven particularly challenging for Dina Ebimbe. He disclosed that a prospective transfer to AS Monaco in January regrettably fell through due to a persistent bruise. The French midfielder has since made strong accusations, claiming his former Bundesliga club was guilty of “negligence” and that he felt “voluntarily cast aside” during this difficult phase.
These circumstances ultimately set him on a course back to his native France, specifically leading him to join Stade Brestois on a loan deal in the closing days of the transfer window. Dina Ebimbe articulated his reasoning, stating: “I made the decision to return to Ligue 1 to regain my confidence and my rhythm. There is no better place to achieve this than in a league you are familiar with, rather than an unknown one or a place where things haven`t gone well; it`s always more difficult.”
He further elaborated on his choice, adding: “When you come back to your home country, your primary league, things naturally tend to go well because you have your familiar points of reference. That`s why it was crucial for me to return to France.”
