Ethan Mbappé Resumes Training with Lille After Hamstring Surgery

Football & Cricket

Lille OSC`s 18-year-old midfielder, Ethan Mbappé, has officially returned to training for the first time since undergoing surgery in May.

Mbappé, younger brother of France captain Kylian, had been sidelined since May due to a hamstring injury that required an operation. His return to the training pitch marks a significant step in his recovery journey back to full fitness. The club, affectionately known as `Les Dogues`, shared a video on their official channels on Thursday confirming his participation.

Despite this encouraging progress, Mbappé`s full return to match fitness will naturally take more time. Having been out for four months, the midfielder was not included in Lille`s squad for their upcoming UEFA Europa League campaign. Consequently, he will not participate in the competition`s `League Phase`. However, there is growing optimism that he could make his much-anticipated return to Ligue 1 action in the weeks ahead.
