Reports from Foot Mercato indicate that French club Rennes and English side Everton have joined the pursuit of Rangers` 22-year-old striker, Hamza Igamane, as the summer transfer window approaches. The Moroccan international is reportedly attracting significant attention from various clubs, potentially paving his departure from Glasgow.
Although Lille had previously reached personal terms with the Rangers forward, the transfer has since stalled. Meanwhile, Rennes, anticipating the departure of Arnaud Kalimuendo (a Tottenham target, 23), have identified Igamane as a primary candidate to fill the void. The 22-year-old is reportedly a top priority for Les Rouges et Noirs.
Everton is another club reportedly weighing a move for Igamane. Having already signed Thierno Barry, the Toffees are seemingly keen to further enhance their attacking lineup with the Moroccan forward. Dutch club Feyenoord is also said to be closely monitoring his situation.
Lille`s Continued Pursuit
Despite the earlier setback, Lille has not abandoned its efforts to sign the Rangers striker. While no formal offer has been submitted yet, it`s understood by Foot Mercato that the Ligue 1 club has not ruled out making one.
