Filip Jörgensen Refuses to Join Strasbourg on Loan from Chelsea

Football & Cricket

According to a report from L`Équipe, 23-year-old Filip Jörgensen has turned down a potential loan move to Strasbourg. He was reportedly considered as a candidate to fill the void left by Djordje Petrovic at the Stade de la Meinau, following Petrovic`s return to Stamford Bridge after his loan spell with the Ligue 1 side.

Despite being evaluated for a potential temporary switch to Strasbourg, Jörgensen has refused the opportunity. Consequently, the former Villarreal goalkeeper is expected to remain with the Premier League club and compete with Chelsea`s current goalkeeping options for a place.

Mike Penders Expected to Join Strasbourg

While Jörgensen opted against the move to the Alsatian club, Chelsea is reportedly set to loan another goalkeeper to their affiliated club. L`Équipe indicates that 19-year-old Mike Penders is anticipated to join Strasbourg on loan once his commitments with Chelsea for the FIFA Club World Cup are complete.
