Fiorentina have successfully reached an agreement with Spanish giants Barcelona for the acquisition of 18-year-old centre-back Eman Kospo.
The Tuscan club is nearing the completion of its second defensive reinforcement this summer, having come to terms with Barcelona for the transfer of Kospo.
Sources with direct knowledge of the negotiations have indicated that the agreement between the two sides has been finalized for a fee reported to be less than €1 million. The deal also includes a sell-on clause, ensuring Barcelona would receive a percentage of any future transfer fee for the player.
Fiorentina`s scouting department has reportedly been tracking the progress of the young defender for a number of months and are now in the process of completing all the necessary documentation to finalize the signing.
During the 2024-25 campaign, Kospo featured in 12 matches for Barcelona`s Under-19 squad, making three appearances in the prestigious UEFA Youth League.
In addition to the impending arrival of Kospo, Fiorentina have already secured the services of defender Mattia Viti from Empoli and brought in central midfielder Jacopo Fazzini.
This period marks the beginning of a new era for the Florence-based club. They recently terminated the contract of head coach Raffaele Palladino after just one season and have appointed his compatriot Stefano Pioli to take the helm.
