First Power Play Chaos in Pakistani Batting LIne-up PAK Vs NED ICC Men’s CWC2023 Match 02, Hyderabad

The First Power play of Match No. 2 proves a nightmare for Pakistani Top order as they lost 3 early wickets in the power play. No one was expecting such great bowling from NED and below-par batting from Pakistan. 

Pakistani openers came into the middle eyeing at the big total in the ICC Worldcup match No. 2 which is played at Hyderabad. It was a very bold decision to include Abdullah Shafique in the Playing XI instead Fakhar. But, team management lacked such guts to take brave calls. 

From Pakistan two left-handed batters: out of form, Fakahr and Imam-ul-Haq came down to take charge of the Dutch bowlers. Both batters looked struggling with the bat against Aryan Dutt and Van Beek. As expected, Fakhar Zaman handed back an easy catch to Van Beek. He departed after scoring 12 with 3 boundaries. 

Babar came in at one-down to continue his prime form but he was never in control. He tried to pull the ball but got late a bit which resulted in giving hi wicket away to Ackermann at midwickett where Saqib grabbed it smartly.

Imam who was looking solid also hooked to deep fine leg in the lsat over of the power play. Three Pakistani batters went back to the pavilion in just 55 balls scoring 38 only which had caused panic in the Btting lineup.

Fakhar scored 12 off 15, whereas babar only succeeded in scoring 5 off 18 and Imam made 15 off 19. At the end of the First power play Pakistan are 43/3.
