Le Havre AC has announced the departure of Fodé Ballo-Touré (28), whose contract with the club has expired. This confirmation comes just one day after the official exit of Ahmed Hassan (32).
Similar to the Egyptian international Hassan, Ballo-Touré joined “Les Ciel et Marines” on a short-term deal during the January transfer window. Their primary objective was to help the club retain its top-flight status, a mission successfully accomplished in the crucial final moments of the Ligue 1 season`s last game against RC Strasbourg Alsace.
Hassan`s departure was made official on Monday, with Ballo-Touré`s following suit the very next day. Neither player`s short-term contract with Le Havre was extended for the upcoming season. Ballo-Touré, a former defender for AC Milan and AS Monaco, made 10 appearances during his six-month tenure in the Normandy region.
Having been out of contract for nearly a month, he is now actively seeking a new club as a free agent.
