Foolproof security for PSL 9 matches is guaranteed by PCB.A noteworthy development is that Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Riffat Mukhtar has promised “foolproof” security for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 matches that will take place in Karachi in the near future. 

At the Central Police Office in Karachi, Mukhtar pledged this promise to Zaka Ashraf, the chairman of the PCB Management Committee, during a discussion regarding security arrangements for the esteemed cricket competition.

The ninth PSL season, which is scheduled to start on February 17, will feature 11 games at Karachi’s National Stadium, comprising the semifinal, two qualifying rounds, and the championship game. 

IGP Mukhtar stressed that the Sindh Police has a long history of upholding strong security and awareness levels during important events at the National Stadium, guaranteeing that all security-related issues will be addressed with professionalism and exceptional care.

PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf thanked the police officer for his dedication to creating a safe and secure environment for the PSL matches and expressed his entire satisfaction with the approved contingency plans outlined during the meeting. In addition, Ashraf promised the support of the PCB administration and himself in enabling all possible cooperation to improve security measures.

The PSL 9’s first game is set to take place in Lahore and pit the two-time champion Lahore Qalandars against the 2018 and 2016 winners of Islamabad United. The guarantee of strong security protocols is imperative as cricket fans excitedly anticipate the thrilling competition.
