Barcelona Makes Final Push for Julián Álvarez Transfer

Leading figures from Barcelona's boardroom were recently observed in Madrid late on Tuesday evening. This visit is understood to precede a final, determined effort to secure the transfer of Julián Álvarez.

Álvarez has been consistently identified as Barcelona's primary target to succeed Robert Lewandowski as the central striker in Hansi Flick's team. His technical skill, goal-scoring prowess, and commendable on-field attitude are seen as perfectly complementing the dynamic style of play favored by the German manager.

However, Álvarez's current club, Atlético Madrid, has thus far remained firm in their position that the 26-year-old is not available for transfer. Barcelona's previous significant offer for Álvarez was rejected this summer, with Atlético management adamant that their star forward will not depart before the transfer window closes.

Despite these setbacks, Joan Laporta and the Barcelona hierarchy apparently have not abandoned hope. According to a report from Jijantes on Tuesday evening:

“Deco and João Amaral are in Madrid: a last attempt to sign Julián Álvarez. In the coming hours, a summit with Fernando Hidalgo, the Argentine’s agent.”
