Barcelona Prepares Improved Contract Offer for Midfield Talent Marc Bernal
La Liga powerhouse Barcelona is reportedly planning to engage in contract negotiations with their promising young midfielder, Marc Bernal. The club intends to present him with an enhanced contract proposal.
This information comes from ESPN, which shed light on the developing situation on Tuesday.
Bernal's immediate future with the Catalan giants had recently been cast into uncertainty. With the anticipated arrival of Manchester City's Rodri, the 19-year-old might find himself further down the midfield hierarchy under manager Hansi Flick.
Consequently, there had been speculation that Bernal might look for an exit, either through a loan move or a permanent transfer, to guarantee more regular playing time in the upcoming season.
However, Barcelona appears committed to reassuring the young talent about his significance to their short-term and long-term plans. As reported by ESPN:
'Barcelona has arranged a meeting with Marc Bernal in the upcoming days to discuss an improved contract.'
The report also emphasizes that, 'for sporting director Deco and president Joan Laporta, Bernal is an indispensable member of the team'.
