Spain's premier football clubs have extended messages of respect and sympathy to the entire Messi family. This follows the confirmation of the passing of Jorge Messi, the father of Barcelona legend Lionel Messi.
After a prolonged illness, Jorge Messi passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 68 in his native Argentina.
Tributes and expressions of support have since flooded in for the Messi family from the global football community, as fans rally around one of the sport's greatest to support him through a difficult personal time.
