Barcelona's Potential 'Marcus Rashford' Strategy for Serie A Star

La Liga giants Barcelona are reportedly considering a strategy akin to the 'Marcus Rashford formula' to secure the services of AC Milan's Rafael Leão this summer, as they continue to seek attacking reinforcements.

Leão, a winger, is widely anticipated to leave AC Milan before the summer transfer window closes, having publicly expressed his desire for a new challenge away from San Siro. AC Milan would prefer a permanent sale to facilitate the acquisition of a replacement for the Portuguese star under new manager Ruben Amorim.

However, if offers in the range of €60-70 million are not met for the 27-year-old, a loan deal might become a possibility. In such a scenario, Barcelona appears to be an interested party.

Barcelona, long rumored as a potential destination for Leão, is understood to have initiated contact with AC Milan officials earlier this month to inquire about a potential transfer. While Barcelona's sporting director Deco and his team are not prepared to meet the valuation for a permanent transfer, they are reportedly open to a loan agreement, mirroring the deal that brought Marcus Rashford to Manchester United last summer.
