AC Milan would prefer a permanent sale to facilitate the acquisition of a replacement for the Portuguese star under new manager Ruben Amorim.
However, if offers in the range of €60-70 million are not met for the 27-year-old, a loan deal might become a possibility. In such a scenario, Barcelona appears to be an interested party.
Barcelona, long rumored as a potential destination for Leão, is understood to have initiated contact with AC Milan officials earlier this month to inquire about a potential transfer.
