A key defender from La Liga club Sevilla is reportedly on the verge of a transfer to the Premier League with Bournemouth. The Cherries have made a swift move for Juanlu this past weekend.
Juanlu was a significant player for Sevilla during the 2025/26 season, featuring in 32 of their 38 league matches. The 22-year-old demonstrated impressive versatility, playing effectively at right-back, as a winger, and even in midfield.
His performances have evidently attracted the attention of Bournemouth. According to renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Cherries, who recently finalized a deal for Benfica's António Silva, are now in 'advanced' negotiations with Sevilla for Juanlu.
Romano reported, "Bournemouth are in advanced talks to sign Juanlu in surprise deal from Sevilla. Spanish right-back has already received the contract proposal."
The official announcement of the transfer could come as early as Sunday.
